About the Role

BDO is seeking a Senior Manager/Director, Operations Improvement Consulting to join our team in Southwestern Ontario. As a key member of our Operations Consulting team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality consulting services to our clients.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Assist in the development of recommendations and presentations for client engagements.
  3. Plan, manage, and execute work in conjunction with various engagements.
  4. Communicate findings to client personnel and develop effective solutions.
  5. Provide recommendations for improvement.
  6. Collaborate with senior consultants to execute deliverables.
  7. Maintain a proactive and logical approach to information gathering, combining complex ideas and presenting information clearly and effectively.
  8. Support the growth of BDO's Strategy and Operations Practice in the GTA, focusing on targeted industries.

Requirements
  1. Post-secondary degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  2. Direct experience with Operational Improvement, with a focus on mid-market clients in the manufacturing space.
  3. Proven analytical skills and systematic problem-solving abilities.
  4. Developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  5. Prior experience in anticipating and diagnosing problems, building and documenting solutions, drafting effective communications, and managing projects.
  6. Comfortable working on-site in manufacturing operations.
  7. Deep knowledge of Operational Excellence approaches, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices.
  8. Demonstrated understanding of the consulting process and ability to build client relationships.
