About Us:

Onedersquad is a dynamic and experienced medical organization seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team. We are a busy orthopedic surgery practice dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.

Job Summary:

As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our medical team, managing patient records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Your expertise in Accuro will be essential in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient scheduling, registration, and billing using Accuro
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, both physical and digital
  • Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and surgeries
  • Assist with medical procedures and exams as needed
  • Handle administrative tasks and ensure efficient patient flow
  • Process payments, manage insurance claims, and handle billing inquiries
  • Maintain office supplies, equipment, and inventory

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Medical Office Assistant program
  • Experience working in a medical office environment
  • Training and proficiency in Accuro software, preferably with a recognized certification
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, OHIP billing, and healthcare regulations

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in an orthopedic or surgical practice
  • Certification in medical office assisting (e.g., MOA, CMA)
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and practice management systems (PMS)
