About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Engineer to join our team at JobContax. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality building services projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce thermal models and simulations using IES VE to demonstrate regulatory compliance with Building Regulations Part L.
  • Carry out energy calculations, heating analysis, and generate building thermal loads.
  • Liaise effectively with the team and use relevant software to produce technically accurate work.
  • Conduct non-domestic BER assessments and BER upgrade reports to achieve A or B rated buildings.
  • Provide Part L and NZEB advice on a range of projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and energy surveys.
  • Work with models such as IES Virtual Environment for daylighting, glint, and glare analysis.
  • Assess building services equipment such as HVAC systems, electrical systems, controls systems, etc.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Mechanical or Sustainability background is advantageous.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Thermal Modelling using IES VE with a solid understanding of MEP services and current Building Regulations.
  • Ability to carry out IES Thermal Modelling / Sustainability / Mechanical / IES VE Heat Loads Energy Calculations.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of energy upgrade projects in line with current best practices.
