Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Wagon Repair Technician to join our team in Montreal. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining rail freight wagons to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of wagons to identify defects and potential issues.
- Carry out repairs on various components of wagons, including brakes, wheels, axles, and underframes.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to complete repairs effectively and efficiently.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, coupled with 2-5 years of experience in wagon repair.
- Knowledge of NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) procedures and certifications are an asset.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing work environments.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Work Hours
Morning Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
