We are seeking a skilled Professional Stringed Instrument Repair Technician to join our team at Wilder & Davis étude.

Job Summary

This role involves inspecting and repairing stringed instruments, including violas, violins, and cellos, to ensure they are functioning properly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrument repair and excellent hand-eye coordination.

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and adjusting repaired products, calibrating instruments using hand tools, and working efficiently to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect products to determine the requirements for repair and restoration
  • Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power, or specially designed tools
  • Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning
  • Calibrate products using hand tools and precision instruments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Instrument Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in stringed instrument repair and maintenance
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including dental and health care plans, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
