Position Overview: The Community Engagement Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our retail environment, ensuring that our mission of providing affordable housing solutions is met through effective management and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Supervise all aspects of store operations, including product merchandising, pricing strategies, inventory management, and customer service.
- Sales Optimization: Implement strategies to maximize retail sales through effective marketing and upselling techniques.
- Inventory Management: Ensure a seamless flow of inventory from intake to purchase, maintaining optimal layouts to enhance sales while ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Community Partnerships: Actively seek and cultivate partnerships within the community to acquire product donations, educating stakeholders on the importance and benefits of supporting our mission.
- Volunteer Management: Lead and develop a team of volunteers, recognizing their vital contributions and providing necessary training and support.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the operational budget, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness to maximize profitability.
- Compliance and Training: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and provide comprehensive training for all staff and volunteers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail management, with a proven track record of leading teams and processes.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to network within the community.
- Experience in financial reporting and analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and general technology.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Availability to work scheduled weekends.
