Job Title: Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at THE CARPET FACTORY. As a Flooring Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of flooring, including carpet, hardwood, and resilient flooring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Install carpeting on floors, walls, and other surfaces
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Install resilient stair components, vinyl decking materials, and other specialty flooring
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in flooring installation
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and hand-eye coordination
  • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and judgment

Work Environment:

Our team works in a fast-paced environment with a variety of flooring projects. You will be required to work on-site, in various locations, and be willing to relocate for this position.
