Signalling Test Engineer

At Alstom, we're passionate about creating innovative transportation solutions that connect people and communities. As a Signalling Test Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our railway systems.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and execute testing plans for railway signalling systems, ensuring compliance with Alstom's policies and standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement testing procedures for signalling sub-systems.

• Conduct field testing activities, adhering to testing schedules and plans, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

• Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement, and develop corrective actions to enhance testing processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in the rail signalling industry, with a strong understanding of USRC Signal Maintenance.

• Direct experience with the Metrolinx system and operating environment is a must.

• Knowledge of conventional rail signalling and other signalling testing elements is an asset.

• Ability to read and interpret Book of Plans and engineering drawings.

• Experience with projects and customers under Transport Canada and Canadian Transportation Agency.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (electrical/computer/computer science).

• Valid driver's license with a clean record is required.

Desirable Skills/Certification

• Knowledge of Metrolinx Operating Rules and USRC Signal Maintenance experience.

• Previous field experience on Metrolinx projects in USRC & Kingston Sub-division would be an asset.

• Experience with ALSTOM process and procedures.

• Experience with ALSTOM equipment's.

• Working experience in installing and adjusting GM-4000A switch would be an asset.

• CROR, Working at Heights, First Aid & CPR training would be an asset.
