About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team at Leduc Stars Academy as a Child Care Assistant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of educators and support staff to provide a nurturing and engaging environment for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Program Development: Collaborate with early childhood educators to design and implement programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development.
  • Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observations and Reporting: Submit written observations and reports on children's progress to early childhood educators or supervisors.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Physical Activity: Engage in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
