Job Summary

North Island College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Trainer – Counterbalanced Forklift Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering the Forklift Operator course and preparing individuals for the Counterbalanced Forklift certification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality instructional materials for the Forklift Operator course.
  • Teach and mentor students in a positive, supportive, and caring environment.
  • Design and conduct evaluations or appraisals of students and provide feedback on their progress.
  • Submit grades and student records in a timely manner.
  • Participate in department meetings and other department activities.
  • Undertake other related responsibilities and duties as assigned by the College.
Requirements
  • IVES TRAINING GROUP Certified Trainer – Counterbalanced Forklift Certification.
  • Experience teaching trades professionals.
  • Provincial Instructor's Diploma, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience as a Counterbalanced Forklift Operator.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience setting up training programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office software applications.
  • Proficiency with learning technologies and digital tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
