Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at HIGHWAY KING TRANSPORT LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across various locations. This is a permanent position with a variable schedule, requiring the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods
  • Willingness to travel overnight
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a variable schedule. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
