Sienna Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Associate to join our team. As a Care Support Associate, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care and support to residents, creating a warm and safe environment that meets their physical and emotional needs.
- Support residents in preparing for and participating in community events, promoting a positive and engaging experience.
- Act as a resident companion, providing comfort, support, and companionship as directed.
- Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup, ensuring a high standard of food safety and hygiene.
- Complete laundry and housekeeping duties, including restocking shelves, making beds, and transporting personal laundry.
- Participate in admission orientation and transfer processes, ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
- Transport residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office, and dining room as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Safe Food Handling Certificate and WHMIS certificate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to model the warmth of human connection in interactions with residents, families, and visitors.
- Ability to meet provincial police check and tuberculosis screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with seniors.
