Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional practical nursing services to designated clients, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
  • Collaborate and interact with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and discharge planning.
  • Work in a variety of community settings, including homes, schools, and clinics, to provide care that is tailored to the unique needs of each client.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care and treatment plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program.
  • 2 years recent related experience preferred.
  • Satisfactory employment record required.
  • Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's license required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
  • Ability to maintain and provide proof of active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional Wound Care & Diabetes course preferred.
  • Knowledge of College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses and Code of Ethics for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Experience working in community health settings.
Working Conditions
  • Modest to heavy physical effort required.
  • Physically able to provide service in a wide variety of community settings under varying weather and environmental conditions.
  • Use of reliable motor vehicle suitable for all environmental conditions.
