Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at William Osler Health System. As an RPN, you will be responsible for providing quality patient-focused nursing care to patients who are identified as less complex and demonstrate more predictable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients in a compassionate and caring manner
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with the inter-professional healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide health teaching to patients and families to ensure continuity of care in the community
  • Respond to emergency situations by recognizing changes in patient health status and consulting appropriately
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Recent experience in medical/surgical nursing, with a minimum of two years experience required
  • Certification in IV therapy and phlebotomy
  • Experience in transfusion medicine and working with PICIS and PACU Manager preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an inter-professional team
