About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Inter-professional Clinical Leader to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing leadership, innovation, and support to your clinical program area, with the goal of delivering high-quality, person-centered care to patients and families.

The successful candidate will work closely with our team/program managers, professional practice coordinators, physicians, nurse leaders, and other team members to promote inter-professional collaborative care and improve service delivery and patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the health and well-being of our patients and communities.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in healthcare leadership, who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline (e.g. Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy)
  • Three (3) years of clinical experience with related leadership skills
  • Basic Cardiac life support (BCLS) certificate
  • A strong understanding of person-centered health
  • Strong problem-solving and clinical reasoning skills
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, common sense, flexibility, and compassion
  • Coaching ability and diplomacy when dealing with coworkers and persons in the community
  • Establishes good working relationships with patients, colleagues, management, community agencies, academic settings, students, and volunteers
  • Experience with quality and project initiatives related to improving service delivery and patient care
  • Rehab setting clinical experience and current experience within the Neuro/SCI program preferred
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, part-time position with 37.5 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
