As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for implementing procurement strategies, sourcing and negotiating optimal purchase packages with suppliers, managing purchasing budgets, building relationships with suppliers and customers, and developing procurement policies.
Key Responsibilities- Procurement Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Supplier Management: Source, select, and negotiate the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries, and services with suppliers.
- Purchasing Budget Management: Manage purchasing department budgets to ensure effective use of resources.
- Relationship Building: Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers to ensure smooth business operations.
- Purchasing and Contract Management: Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Cost Reduction: Actively plan and execute cost reduction opportunities to improve profitability.
- Inventory Management: Coordinate and execute quarterly and year-end inventory counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada.
- Education and Certification: Working towards Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) certification.
- Experience: 1-2 years of recent related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written English skills, ability to effectively manage relationships with suppliers and customers, self-motivated with a passion for challenges and working in a fast-paced environment, intermediate to advanced level Excel skills.
