Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Cardiac Catheterization laboratory, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' ECG and hemodynamics during various invasive procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients' ECG and hemodynamics during procedures such as heart catheterizations and angioplasties
  • Analyze data and convey vital information to cardiologists during procedures
  • Generate standard reports for each procedure
  • Maintain equipment and assist in setting up and calibrating equipment for procedures
  • Prepare patients for procedures by applying electrodes and shaving prep if necessary
  • Gather patient information and history from patient and EMR systems
  • Enter orders in Meditech and prepare information for patient chart
Requirements
  • Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology
  • Two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Eligibility for registration with the Canadian Association of Cardiology Pulmonary Technologists (CACPT) and/or CCI RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) credential
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to deal effectively with others
  • Ability to operate related equipment
  • Ability to organize work
  • Physical ability to perform duties of the position
