About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Humo Restorations Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare building layouts in accordance with local building codes, utilizing precision measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect wall and roof systems.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other team members.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects.
  • Operate computer-aided design (CADD) software and other digital tools.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including those in industrial settings.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work at heights.
  • Exposure to noise.
  • Work in dusty environments.
  • Outdoor work.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the trade.
  • Reliability, teamwork, punctuality, and dependability.
Workplace Information

  • 40 hours per week.
