Position Overview

The role of a Kitchen Helper is essential in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our kitchen environment. This position involves a variety of tasks that support the culinary team in delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dish Management: Ensure that clean dishes, utensils, and other kitchen items are readily available in serving areas and properly arranged on tables.
  • Sanitation Duties: Clear and sanitize tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a hygienic dining space.
  • Storage Organization: Efficiently place dishes and kitchen supplies in designated storage areas.
  • Dishwashing: Manually wash and sanitize dishes and kitchenware.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items as directed.
  • Order Taking: Accurately take and relay customer orders to the kitchen staff.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness: Regularly clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, cupboards, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store kitchen supplies in appropriate areas, including refrigerators and freezers.
  • Waste Disposal: Properly remove and dispose of kitchen waste and trash.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish kitchen floors to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Vegetable and Fruit Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits as needed for meal preparation.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; training will be provided.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language Requirement: Proficiency in English.
  • Work Hours: Full-time position with 40 hours per week.
