Early Childhood Educator

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education Department is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Mikisiw Awasis Early Learning Centre in La Ronge, SK.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement Early Childhood Program Curriculum
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Maintain positive relationships with clients and work effectively with the Education team
- Conduct health promotion programs, community education events, and workshops for families with children aged 0-6 years
- Collaborate with Daycare/Headstart staff to implement Cree language and cultural programming
- Act as an interpreter or escort for Cree-speaking clients and advocate for families
- Provide work plans and progress to the supervisor
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Level 3 ECE Diploma
- Valid First Aid/CPR, WHIMIS, and Food Safety Handler's Certificate (asset)
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office knowledge
- Personal experience as a parent or caregiver of infants and/or young children
- Ability to speak/understand Cree and/or knowledge of Cree Culture (asset)
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and public relations skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver's Abstract
