We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Affordable Mattress & Furniture. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales workers, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
- Staff Development: Hire, train, and develop staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Merchandise Management: Order and manage merchandise inventory, ensuring that our store is well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and optimal productivity.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Culture and Diversity: Develop and implement strategies to create a welcoming and inclusive work environment for all employees, including newcomers and refugees, and Indigenous workers.
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience in retail management or a related field is an asset.
- Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
