Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our care team as a Clinical Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting daily care delivery, ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support daily care delivery, ensuring the highest quality of care for residents.
  • Monitor departmental activities and perform duties in accordance with established standards, regulations, and policies.
  • Provide clinical support to all care staff, including LPNs and RCA staff.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Care and other team members to facilitate admissions and ensure resident needs are met.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of facility policies and procedures.
  • Act as a role model and mentor for clinical staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing license with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Successful annual RAI competency testing.
  • Additional training and previous experience in the care of the frail elderly and physically and mentally handicapped persons.
  • Valid OFA2 certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in the English language.
  • Recent related clinical practice experience within the last five years.

  • Ability to supervise staff, establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff, and function as a role model.
  • Ability to use a collaborative approach to problem-solving supported by a systems approach.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
  • Ability to operate related equipment and electronic programs, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including repetitive tasks, lifting, squatting, bending, standing, and walking as required.
