Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement human resources policies and programs to support the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements.
  • Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales to ensure fair compensation and accurate job postings.
  • Administer benefit programs, including health care plans, and ensure compliance with employment equity and other human resources regulations.
  • Coordinate employee performance and appraisal programs to promote growth and development.
  • Manage training and development strategies to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Research and recommend changes to employee benefits and health and safety practices to improve overall well-being.
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff to ensure effective team management.
  • Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers to maintain positive labor relations.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in human resources or a related field.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Flexibility, organized, client focus, and reliability are essential qualities for this role.
