We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at 4325445 NOVA SCOTIA LIMITED. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes are presented to a high standard.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained.
- Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, ensuring that they are aware of all health and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, ensuring that we are always stocked and ready to meet customer demand.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, and that the kitchen is a safe and healthy environment for all staff and customers.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
- Free Parking: Free parking available on site.
- Permanent Employment: Permanent employment with a reputable company.
- Language of Work: English.
- Hours of Work: 30 hours per week.
