Are You the Next Mechanical Reliability Engineer? We Welcome Applicants of All Experience Levels

Become a vital member of our innovative team as a Mechanical Reliability Engineer at our Mosaic Phosphates Central Florida Locations. The ideal candidate will seize opportunities to enhance equipment reliability through failure analysis, data collection, and modifications to maintenance, operations, procurement, and design practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful execution of reliability enhancement initiatives aimed at maximizing value and minimizing losses in manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with the North America Business (NAB) Asset Integrity (AI) Team to implement best practices across multiple facilities.
  • Assess and quantify reliability cost savings, production increases, and equipment lifecycle improvements through area initiatives.
  • Formulate project plans for reliability initiatives utilizing the Identify Define Measure Analyze Improve Control (IDMAIC) methodology.
  • Utilize AI and Data Analytics principles through the EAM System (SAP S/4HANA), OIS Pi Vision data historian, and other datasets/tools (including Power BI) to identify actionable equipment performance trends.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to determine underlying issues and devise effective solutions.
  • Coordinate resources in alignment with the Project Sponsor for reliability initiatives.
  • Monitor reliability performance metrics (mean time between failures, availability, overall equipment use) and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement Asset Strategies to enhance equipment and process reliability based on established reliability principles (RCM, FMECA, etc.).
  • Facilitate reliability review meetings and Root Cause Analysis sessions.
  • Collaborate with maintenance engineering, planning, and execution teams to refine and apply precision maintenance procedures within SAP S/4HANA Job Plans.
  • Assist capital, workflow, and procurement teams in conducting critical spares analysis, PM Optimization, condition monitoring, and successful installation of new systems and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Chemical engineering preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, PI/OSISoft products, or similar data historian tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with all management levels.
  • Demonstrated capacity to influence others; strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience, industrial project experience, or engineering project management.
  • 2+ years of relevant engineering experience, industrial project experience, or engineering project management.
  • 4+ years of relevant engineering experience, industrial project experience, or engineering project management.
  • 8+ years or more of relevant engineering experience, industrial project experience, or engineering project management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in chemical processing and mining.
  • Strong understanding of Predictive Technologies (Vibration, IR, UE, MCA, Oil analysis), with certifications being advantageous - Vibration Analysis Level I or II, Infrared Thermography Level I, Ultrasound Level I, Oil Analysis Level I, etc.
  • Certification as a CMRP and/or CRL.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and other data management software.
  • Knowledge of OIS Pi Vision or Process Historian software.
  • Experience with commonly used EAMs, such as SAP S/4HANA.
