About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Sagar Indian Cuisine. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Special Dietary Requirements: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they meet health and safety standards, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and manage kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, physically demanding, and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, and team player.
