Position Overview

As a Revenue Accounting Specialist at Porter Airlines, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all facets of passenger revenue accounting. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring precise and prompt financial reporting, delivering analytical support for decision-making, and upholding financial regulations. Working collaboratively with your team, you will contribute to the achievement of strategic and operational objectives by providing sound financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Postings to the general ledger
  • Conduct financial analyses
  • Maintain internal controls
  • Implement revenue-related initiatives
Scope of Responsibilities:

Revenue, interline, and code share accounting

Reconciliation of e-tickets

External fare audits

Management of airport and airline taxes and fees

Upgrades to technology systems

Core Duties:

  • Execute month-end procedures and reconcile accounts
  • Process interline sales settlements
  • Review and reconcile all sales and settlements
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards
  • Test and enhance systems
  • Examine contracts
  • Coordinate with external auditors
  • Develop comprehensive reporting
  • Assist with various accounting functions
  • Engage in safety management practices
