Job Summary

The Revenue Accounting Analyst (RAA) plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of airline revenue accounting at Porter Airlines. This position is responsible for all aspects of revenue accounting, including general ledger postings, reconciliations, and financial analysis of various revenue and unearned liability accounts.

The RAA will work closely with the team to ensure the delivery of revenue reporting, providing analytics and data in a timely manner for decision support. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting standards and the ability to maintain internal controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end activities and account reconciliations related to the revenue accounting process
  • Complete interline sales settlement processing, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Monitor, review, audit, and reconcile all sales and settlements with interline partners and merchants
  • Ensure revenue accounting is compliant with accounting standards
  • Review contracts and understand contract terms, translating them into appropriate accounting events
  • Liaise with external auditors, providing audit deliverables and assisting in the year-end audit as needed
Requirements
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Excel, data warehouse, business intelligence, and reporting fundamentals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to embrace technology for continuous process improvements and cost reductions
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Two+ years of experience in accounting and analytical roles
