About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agricultural Technology Specialist to join our team at Green Diamond Equipment. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing expertise and support to our customers in the area of precision agriculture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our Integrated Solutions Manager to deliver high-quality agricultural technology services to our customers.
- Lead the organization in the area of precision farming products and agronomic knowledge, ensuring that our team is up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of John Deere agricultural technology solutions, including sales, service, parts, and other departments.
- Serve as the internal and external technical specialist for new technology farming products, providing expert advice and support to our customers.
- Work directly with customers to optimize technology solutions for their operations, including record-keeping, data analysis, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with our team to create field boundaries and maps, automate steering, and manage data.
- Support the dealership's efforts with third-party providers, ensuring seamless integration and customer satisfaction.
- Stay current on production practices, industry trends, and changes in the market, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and customer success.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in an agriculture-related role, with a strong background in precision agriculture.
- Bilingual, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in dealership sales, service, integrated solutions, training, or other related work experience with agricultural technology offerings is highly desirable.
- Certified Crop Advisor Certification is considered an asset.
- Above-average comfort level with standard desktop applications, including Microsoft Office and internet functions.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, project management, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store locations, customers, and other advisors.
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, Agriculture Mechanization, or equivalent experience is preferred.
