About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Analyst to join our Portfolio Management team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a Credit Analyst, you will play a critical role in assessing the creditworthiness of corporate counterparties and providing recommendations for credit limits, terms, and conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare high-quality credit applications and annual reviews of corporate counterparties, including financial statements analysis, review of client strategy, business risk, industry dynamics, and competitive environment.
  • Prepare financial projections and determine debt repayment capability, ensuring compliance with SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA Credit Policies.
  • Propose and update Obligor Risk Ratings.
  • Monitor compliance with covenants.
  • Review all relevant legal documentation and propose changes as necessary to comply with SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA policies.
  • Liaise with other CRE teams, business lines, Bankers, legal & compliance, operations, and Risk department.
Requirements
  • Financial analytical skills.
  • Ability to assess credit terms and conditions, including financial covenants, security, and collateral.
  • Understanding of commercial and investment banking products.
  • Ability to work in a team, interacting with teams located in other locations.
  • Writing skills, particularly assessing and summarizing financial transactions.
  • Understanding of accounting, legal, and regulatory issues governing relevant sectors.
  • Ability to investigate, research, and synthesize data to make appropriate conclusions.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate counterparty risk and financial condition using quantitative and qualitative data.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of finance and accounting principles.
  • Experience preparing financial projections under various scenarios.
  • Proficiency using Word for written analysis and Excel for spreadsheet analysis.
  • Knowledge of capital markets, traded products, and committed financing facilities.
Language

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
