Job Summary

Westlake is seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in the Shipping area. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-shift inspections of forklifts and complete daily inspection forms
  • Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with safety procedures and protocols
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate and efficient material handling
  • Monitor the quality of materials and products being handled and report any deficiencies to the Shipping Supervisor
  • Ensure accurate storage and inventory management of materials in designated areas
  • Participate in department and company meetings as applicable
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset, but not a requirement
  • Forklift certification acquired through company-sponsored training program
  • Demonstrated ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
