Job Title: Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator (ECE-IT)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator (ECE-IT) to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver. As an ECE-IT, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers, while also establishing positive relationships with families and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate programs for infants and toddlers, aligned with the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
  • Provide exceptional care and support to children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with families, responding to their needs and concerns, and maintaining a positive and respectful relationship.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a comprehensive and cohesive program, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Adhere to all Child Care Licensing Regulations and YMCA Child Protection Policies.

Requirements:

  • Current and valid Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator License to Practice.
  • Three satisfactory professional references and experience working with children in a child care or recreational setting.
  • Current child care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain, and a satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search.
