Structural CAD Designer Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Structural CAD Designer to join our team in Niagara Falls. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of engineering services for large and small projects within various sectors, including hydropower, mining, and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Lead Structural CAD Designer to ensure project requirements are met in terms of scope, quantities, cost, and schedule.
  • Prepare contract drawings, maintain records, and conduct statistical work as required.
  • Produce and manage technical and engineering drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D. Experience with BIM coordination and Bentley MicroStation is an asset.
  • Work closely with engineers and other stakeholders to translate design concepts into detailed drawings and models.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices throughout the design process.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Structural CAD Designer in the power, infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D software.
  • Excellent understanding of structural design principles and drafting standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
