Overview of the Role

At Coca-Cola Canada, our Merchandising Associates play a crucial role in local grocery and convenience outlets, ensuring that our products are readily available to consumers. They are responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels in beverage sections, end caps, racks, displays, and coolers. As the face of our brand, Merchandising Associates deliver exceptional service to both clients and customers.

Key Details:

Work Schedule: Flexible shifts available from Thursday to Sunday.

Weekly Hours: 10-20 hours.

Service Area: Charlottetown

Compensation: $17.50 per hour plus a mileage allowance of $0.62 per KM.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Restocking and replenishing products in store displays, shelves, and coolers by transporting items from the backroom/storage area to the sales floor using manual or powered equipment (such as pallet jacks or hand trucks).
  • Constructing, modifying, or dismantling product displays while adhering to company standards; ensuring proper signage is maintained; cleaning product areas and managing damaged or defective items.
  • Regularly lifting, carrying, and positioning products (up to 50lbs or 22kgs) above shoulder height without assistance.
  • Engaging in consistent kneeling, squatting, and reaching tasks.
  • Organizing the backroom by managing stock levels; identifying and reporting inventory discrepancies; processing damaged items; repacking products; and maintaining backroom materials (e.g., pallets, product shells).
  • Adhering to all company policies regarding backroom operations, display maintenance, product replenishment, equipment use, and safety protocols.
  • Keeping a tidy and organized work environment in compliance with company safety and sanitation standards.
  • Fostering professional relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Demonstrating the ability to push and pull manual and powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) carrying product loads for distances of at least 100 yards without assistance.
  • Exhibiting the capability to grasp and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Maintaining the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Required Qualifications:

  • A valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for work-related tasks.
  • Current vehicle liability insurance.
  • A clean driving record with no major violations over the past three years, as demonstrated by a driver's abstract.
  • Preferred: At least one year of experience in grocery, retail, warehousing, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Experience operating manual and powered pallet jacks.
  • Preferred: At least one year of experience working with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred: One year of customer service experience.
