Position Overview:

We are in search of a highly experienced and driven Applications / Senior Process Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will be tasked with spearheading the creation of comprehensive proposals for reuse and treatment initiatives, utilizing their extensive knowledge in process design, technology selection, and cost estimation. This role is pivotal in propelling our business growth by providing customized solutions that cater to the distinct needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to craft technically robust and commercially viable proposals for water treatment projects, covering a diverse array of applications and technologies.
  • Process Design: Leverage expertise in water filtration, membrane separation, and treatment methodologies to devise innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Pre-FEED and FEED: Lead the pre-FEED and FEED stages of project development, ensuring alignment of proposed solutions with client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Pilot Studies: Supervise pilot studies to validate proposed treatment technologies and processes, analyze outcomes, and integrate findings into final proposals.
  • Technology Selection: Remain informed about emerging water treatment technologies and trends, recommending optimal solutions based on project goals, technical needs, and economic factors.
  • Cost Estimation: Generate precise cost estimates for proposed projects, taking into account equipment, materials, labor, and ongoing operational costs.
  • Client Engagement: Interact with clients to comprehend their needs, preferences, and challenges, tailoring proposals to meet their specific objectives.
  • Presentation and Thought Leadership: Present at industry conferences and events to demonstrate expertise and engage with large technical audiences. Actively participate in online forums as a thought leader in water treatment innovation and best practices.
  • Business Development: Utilize strong regional and industry connections to identify opportunities, cultivate relationships, and support business development initiatives.
  • Technical Marketing: Create technical marketing materials to bolster online marketing efforts, including white papers, case studies, and technical articles.
  • Onsite Evaluations: Conduct onsite evaluations at client locations to gather requirements and provide necessary technical support.
  • Project Delivery: Oversee complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in a similar capacity within the water/wastewater treatment sector or industrial utility fluid processing.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with chemical, physical, and biological treatment schemes, including startup and ongoing operational support.
  • Strong business acumen with the capability to analyze market dynamics, identify opportunities, and formulate competitive strategies.
  • Proven history of establishing and maintaining robust regional and industry connections, with a deep understanding of client needs.
  • Active participation in industry associations and professional organizations related to water treatment and environmental engineering.
  • Solid process engineering foundation, with expertise in designing and optimizing water treatment processes across various applications and industries.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate technical and commercial feasibility, risks, and opportunities.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel as necessary.
