Host Opportunity at Eldorado Resort

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Host to join our team at Eldorado Resort. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as an ambassador for Eldorado Resort, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all guests.
  • Manage the front entrance, host stand, and surrounding areas to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Escort guests to their tables, engage them in conversation, and seat them accordingly.
  • Know all table numbers and maintain awareness of which servers are in each section.
  • Effectively manage guest flow to maximize seating capacity.
  • Accurately take reservations and modify guest status in OpenTable.
  • Communicate with servers, bartenders, and managers as needed.
  • Have complete knowledge of the menu, including allergens.
  • Take to-go and room service orders and perform daily checks for room service trays.
  • Coordinate with the culinary team and Front Desk for daily amenity deliveries.
  • Understand the payment system and be able to take payment for guests.
  • Follow lost and found procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service and/or a restaurant.
  • Minimum 16 years of age.
  • Passion for the restaurant and hospitality industry.
  • Positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and high attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Squirrel and OpenTable considered an asset.
  • Valid Serving It Right certification.
  • Availability to work during the day on weekdays and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
