Job Title: Longhole Driller/Blasters

Job Summary:

Boart Longyear is seeking experienced longhole drillers/trainees to join our team. As a Longhole Driller/Blasters, you will be responsible for operating drilling equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining equipment and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate drilling equipment, including rotary, core, sonic, and percussive drilling.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including wearing personal protective equipment and adhering to company safety policies.
  • Maintain equipment and tools, including performing routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Train new drillers in a safe environment.
  • Support drilling operations, including mixing drilling fluids, performing basic maintenance, and conducting inventory logs.
  • Contribute to effective workplace relationships and maintain accurate operating records.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate.
  • Sufficient language skills, literacy, and numeracy skills to perform all job-related tasks.
  • Labour background considered an asset.
  • 2+ years of directly related experience.
  • Exposure to different drilling environments and techniques is preferred.
