Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at Altech Aluminum (2004) ltd. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of aluminum and steel products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and Execution
    • Interpret welding process specifications and execute them with precision.
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to produce high-quality welds.
  • Quality Control
    • Examine welds to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
  • Material Handling
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to prepare materials for welding.
  • Specialized Knowledge
    • Apply knowledge of shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) techniques to produce high-quality welds.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience
    • Operate arc welding machines to produce high-quality welds.
  • Area of Specialization
    • Focus on producing high-quality welds for fencing, balconies, stairs, and railings.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
    • Stand for extended periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Team player with a strong work ethic.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding.
  • Certifications
    • Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate.
