About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at GT Krahn Trucking LTD. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, including mechanical units and automotive systems.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and estimate parts and labor costs for repairs.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Environmental Responsibility: As a Green Job, this role involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes, such as reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
