Senior Technical Manager

Pinchin is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to lead our Mechanical Engineering team in Mississauga, Ontario. As a senior leader, you will play a key role in expanding our engineering capabilities, driving project delivery excellence, and nurturing client relationships across Ontario and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Mechanical Engineering team, overseeing project delivery, design reviews, and quality assurance.
  • Implement strategies to expand the Mississauga office and its capabilities, with potential for assuming a broader leadership role.
  • Lead the design and management of mechanical HVAC, plumbing systems, and low-carbon electrification projects.
  • Manage and participate in energy audits, specialist reports, and GHG reduction studies in existing buildings.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Prepare cost estimates, business cases, and detailed project reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • A university degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and a P.Eng. designation.
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting engineering, with a strong background in project management and team leadership.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in managing operations, including resource planning, budgeting, and process optimization.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with a demonstrated ability to develop new and grow existing relationships.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication and technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, IES, Trace software, and other relevant tools.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various client sites locally and to adjacent provinces.
