About the Role:
The Executive Director, Health Services Area, plays a pivotal role in leading the development, implementation, and assessment of strategies, program/service objectives, and operations that support patient-focused seamless care across community and hospital settings.
This senior leadership position requires a strong focus on building partnerships, improving system-wide care, and driving impactful, sustainable health care solutions.
The Executive Director will lead an integrated health services team, working collaboratively with regional program leaders, staff, medical staff, clinicians, and other stakeholders to design and sustain health services that meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in strategic planning, future visioning, goal setting, and decision-making processes for the Health Service Community and its integration with the Community Hospital and other partnerships across Fraser Health.
- Identify short, medium, and long-term objectives, plans, programs, and services, assessing options and making recommendations for strategic and operational decisions.
- Represent Fraser Health, the Community Hospital, and the Health Services area with stakeholders, patients/residents/clients, and families, maintaining effective relationships with municipal leaders through regular updates and discussions.
- Assist in identifying and removing barriers to a seamless system of care across the community and the hospital and across other programs and services, working with Executive Directors of Regional Programs on issues of program support and services.
- Accountable for the annual operating and capital budget for the Community Hospital and the Health Services area, working within approved financial mandates, recommending and establishing program/service priorities.
- Identify and review proposals for new or expanded programs following a system and team-based approach, monitoring evaluation of existing programs to ensure effective resource allocation and/or the development of new funding sources.
- Participate in the development and delivery of health services in collaboration with physicians and other health care team members, establishing monitoring and reporting systems to identify and follow up on deficiencies in patient care services.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement processes, ensuring that appropriate quality of care measures are in place and compatible with industry standards and accreditation bodies.
Education and Experience:
A Master's degree in a health-related field supplemented with ten (10) to fifteen (15) years' progressively senior management experience, including leadership in a large health care organization.

- Knowledge of current provincial health care policies.
- Knowledge of funding practices.

- Knowledge of current and future health care issues.
- Knowledge of utilization management strategies and programs.
