About This Opportunity

Annapolis Collaborative Practice is seeking a skilled physician to join their team of healthcare professionals. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be part of a collaborative team that provides patient care, urgent treatment, and inpatient services at the Annapolis Community Health Centre.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and coordination with healthcare providers within the practice and community.
  • Provide care and coordination of community-based care, secondary, and tertiary level healthcare services.
  • Build capacity within the first two years, focusing on expanding services and improving patient outcomes.
  • Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
  • Work towards same-day or next-day access for the practice population.
  • Collaborate with other team members to best suit the community's health needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities.
  • Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details.

Expected Hours:

Full-time position available.

Qualifications:

  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
  • Experience working in an emergency department is an asset.
  • Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), advanced trauma life support (ATLS), basic life support (BLS), and pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
