About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Toolroom Machinist to join our team at JASP Manufacturing. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and adjusting production machineries/tools, fitting and assembling components and machine parts to close tolerance, and maintaining, repairing and calibrating precision measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Engineering Drawings: Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure precise production.
  • Setup and Adjustment of Production Machineries: Set up and adjust production machineries/tools to meet precise specifications.
  • Precision Assembly and Fitting: Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, ensuring high-quality production.
  • Maintenance and Repair of Precision Measuring Instruments: Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Dimension Verification: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Independent Work: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physically Demanding: Physically demanding role requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail required to ensure precise production.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
