Job Summary

Baker Tilly Canada is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Data Advisor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, ensuring all aspects of their needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Data Management: Reconcile accounts, post journal entries, and perform bookkeeping duties, including staff and client payrolls, bank deposits and reconciliations, accounts payable, and other client payments.
  • Payroll and Compliance: Answer phone and in-person inquiries regarding client payroll, prepare GST/PST and other compliance returns, and ensure timely completion of financial statements and management reporting.
  • Client Service: Provide personal, attentive service to clients, encouraging productive working relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with peers and management on file planning and completion, ensuring time requirements are met, and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2 years' experience in full cycle bookkeeping procedures, with a focus on financial data management and analysis.
  • Payroll Designation: Payroll designation and experience considered an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and experience with tech stack integration considered an asset.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent computer skills, good time management skills, and the ability to anticipate and manage a changing workflow.
