We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated and client-driven individual to join our growing team as an Accounting Data Advisor, to assist us in providing service excellence, ensuring all aspects of our clients’ needs are met and exceeded. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Reconcile accounts and post journal entries.
  • Perform bookkeeping and payroll duties including staff & client payrolls, bank deposits & reconciliations, accounts payable, and other client payments.
  • Answer phone and in-person inquiries with regard to client payroll.
  • Perform clerical and other related duties as required.
  • Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
  • Prepare GST/PST and other compliance returns.
  • Collaborate with peers and management on file planning and completion, ensuring that time requirements are met.
  • Provide personal, attentive service to clients, encouraging productive working relationships.
  • Prepare financial statements and other management reporting.
The successful candidate will have:
  • At least 2 years’ experience in full cycle bookkeeping procedures.
  • Payroll designation & experience considered an asset.
  • 2 years’ experience in QuickBooks Online is required.
  • Tech Stack experience including integration of apps is considered an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills and willingness to upgrade such skills, as required.
In addition to these, the ideal candidate will have:
  • Demonstrated ability to perform multi-tasks in an environment where priorities can change rapidly.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to anticipate and manage a changing workflow.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good computer, analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Windows XP, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of Revenue Canada regulations, Labor Standards requirements, WCB, and GST.
  • Excellent administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge in the areas of Freedom of Information and storage of confidential information.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
