We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing, ensuring the confidentiality of patient information, and participating in the development of effective corrective action plans.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing to ensure accurate and timely results
- Performing, interpreting, and releasing test results while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Identifying incidents and non-conformities, participating in corrective action plans, and driving continuous improvement
- Assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new technology to enhance laboratory operations
- Participating in problem-solving and workflow optimization initiatives
- College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent education and/or experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders
- Good computer skills and knowledge to navigate laboratory information systems
- Problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and follow up on issues
- Ability to maintain strict standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality
