Concrete Manufacturing Laborer

Initially starting as a small precast operation serving the agricultural sector, Stubbe's has evolved into a versatile company providing a comprehensive array of concrete products and services.

Positions are available in Harley, ON and Port Weller, ON (Dayshift only)

We offer straight shifts in our facilities

Day shift hours are from 6am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Night shift hours are from 5pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, with a $3.50/hr shift premium

Your Daily Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks in a systematic and safe manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and company regulations.
  • Adhere to Stubbe's quality assurance standards.
  • Utilize specialized concrete production equipment, including overhead cranes, forklifts, and various power tools.
  • Assemble components according to established procedures and specifications.
  • Load precast concrete elements using appropriate stacking techniques.
  • Install reinforcement cages and pull strands prior to tensioning.
  • Mix, vibrate, and finish concrete as required.

Role Expectations:

  • Engage in a dynamic and physically demanding work environment, akin to a construction site but indoors.
  • Perform repetitive tasks that involve heavy lifting, with the capability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 80lbs.
  • Exhibit manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Operate machinery to transport products.
  • Set up, adjust, and run specialized equipment for mixing, drilling, grinding, and cutting concrete as per specifications.
  • Place reinforcing rods or wire mesh in molds and pour concrete from suspended buckets into molds.
  • Demold castings and finish surfaces using screening or troweling techniques.
  • Adapt to additional responsibilities as necessary to meet operational needs.
