About the Job

The nursing department at Bruce County is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to our residents. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering individualized care, coordinating with other departments, and contributing to the effective management of our nursing department.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to residents, prioritizing their needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Assist in the planning and development of activities that support the nursing department's goals
  • Supervise and mentor other employees to ensure high-quality care
  • Document resident care and progress, using tools such as MDS RAI and PCC
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Basic computer skills and current CPR certification
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three to five years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a long-term care setting
  • Experience supervising other employees and using documentation tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work as a team member
  • Initiative, flexibility, adaptability, good organizational skills, and strong supervisory skills
