Position Overview

The primary objective of a Vacation Planning Specialist is to curate comprehensive travel packages for clients, encompassing lodging, activities, and transportation, utilizing various communication channels such as online chat, email, and phone. This role emphasizes the importance of nurturing strong relationships with clients to uphold our exceptional service standards and drive sales performance.

The work schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts. Key Duties Serve as a representative of Tourism Whistler, embodying our mission and vision with enthusiasm, dedication, and respect. Handle incoming calls, provide estimates for online travel inquiries, and address customer queries through emails and voice messages. Conduct outbound calls for concierge services, upselling opportunities, and customer engagement. Communicate effectively with online chat inquiries, providing quotes and actively pursuing sales leads generated through this medium. Achieve or surpass individual and team sales targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and team members. Respond to all client interactions in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner. Required Skills and Qualifications In-depth knowledge of the Whistler area. Strong time management abilities, with the capacity to stay organized and multitask in a dynamic environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, through phone, online chat, and email. Dedication to providing outstanding customer service. Keen attention to detail. Proficient problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. A collaborative team player who can also work autonomously. Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office and various cloud-based software.
