Market Development Manager

Pelican Events & Catering is seeking a highly skilled Market Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing promotional materials, hiring, training, and directing staff, as well as planning and controlling budget and expenditures.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement promotional materials to enhance brand awareness and drive business growth.
- Hire, train, and direct staff to ensure effective team performance and achieve business objectives.
- Plan and control budget and expenditures to optimize resource allocation and minimize waste.
- Write and edit press releases, newsletters, and communications materials to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that develop and implement communication strategies and information programs.
- Plan, direct, and evaluate the activities of firms and departments that develop and implement advertising campaigns to promote the sales of products and services.
- Act as spokesperson for the organization, representing Pelican Events & Catering in a professional and positive manner.
- Gather, research, and prepare communications material to support business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3-5 years of experience in market development, business growth, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
- 30-40 hours per week.
- Permanent work term.
- English language required.
